Woke up today and felt like doing nothing. Kat felt like doing something. Guess who won?
As it would turn out the grunt work we got into paid off. The patio stones are being overcrowded by weeds that grow between. So we’ve got to lift them, clean out underneath, lay landscape fabric and put ’em back. I’ve been dreading doing this for 6 years and it being so fucking hot this week doesn’t exactly motivate me. I sat at work yesterday and was sopping with sweat having done nothing. Arbuckle stopped by to mooch some gum and turning to speak with him caused further beads of creamy Barnhardt juice to roll down my back. But I digress…
For a couple of weeks now we’ve seen occasional ants on the kitchen counter. Today we found the source under a couple of those patio stones. Aside from eating processed foods, I don’t think much makes me as content as giving ants a gas bath. And man did I give it to ’em. The quantity of gas that I used could probably power a small Albanian villa for weeks. You can see in the picture at the top that those dirty little fuckers are now nice and clean. See how their abdomens shine in the Summer sun? You could eat off that!
I’m on break right now as the boss is off dealing with her horse. She’ll be getting my bike tire looked at on the way back. Since I’ve ridden the bike exactly 4 times and already have a flat tire I’m hoping they’ll give her something to make us feel better. Perhaps a bucket of chicken. I may have to move the water bottle holder aside to make room for a bucket of chicken holder. Who knew I could get awesome-r?
