Oh, what a lovely Wednesday. Woke around 7 and made my way upstairs to bed. That’s right, I wasn’t in bed. No, I hadn’t spent the night on the front, side or even the back lawn, though all are logical guesses based on my unrelenting obesity and ongoing disregard for healthy life choices. I decided a while back to sleep on the couch after it became evident that my snoring was causing the wife grief. I won’t bother to mention that her recent propensity for snoring was also causing me grief, because I’d feel obliged to also say that when she snores, I’d (gently) kick her (to an unprosecutable degree) until it stopped. I don’t need y’all thinking even less of me than y’all already do. And there I went saying all those things I wasn’t going to say. Comedy!

Got on with the day, which meant an excessively buttered english muffin topped with a peppered, halved boiled egg and a mug of decaf coffee were consumed. Then I watched the rain hitting the window for most of the afternoon while occasionally browsing Facebook, watching random YouTube videos, checking out my Japanese neighbour for no good reason waiting in the rain for his mail to be put into the community box, glaring at two baskets of clean clothes that weren’t putting themselves away and doing a collective minute and a half of actual work. You might think I shouldn’t be proud of that, but most days I accomplish so much less.

After work, we headed to Thorold for H’s hockey game. Stopped in Welland on the way to drop off some audio equipment I sold to a dude on Facebook. Dude’s brother would meet me at the Tim Horton’s. Dude’s brother was named Dawn. Alright. Dawn would be driving a grey Camry. Hmm, Toyota. Good taste, Dawn. Just after 7 pm I pulled into the Tim Horton’s parking lot and met Dawn. He came out of his car and was [edit] a great guy. I’m not a bigot.
