Woke up 38 times last night to pee in the dark. Thought at one point that I may’ve overflowed the friggin’ toilet as we employ the Girdlestonian method of not flushing throughout the night. I know for sure that 50% of one of those pees missed the bowl entirely as the reassuring sound of splashing water cut out and only returned when I made a quick adjustment to the left. I’m on some prednisone to try to combat this hilarious 8-month cold/asthma/allergies/morbid obesity situation and evidently the fact that it’s a steroid has ramped up my hardcore pissing action. I’d also like to confirm that it’s ramped up my eating as it’s supposed to do, but I really already had the pedal to the metal on that front going into this.
Finally got around to some housecleaning in the office today. We have a bulging file cabinet full of countless kilograms of unnecessary papers. My cleaning included shredding some old bank statements before bagging and recycling them as I’m paranoid enough to think that someone might go through my trash. Seems especially silly when all they’d find would be pages upon pages listing gas purchases and the most exciting thing they’d uncover is an unhealthy frequency to my Artemis visits in the years 1999 to 2002. Had to go to Welland this evening to make a Kijiji transaction. Sitting in the Tim Horton’s parking lot awaiting my “buyer,” out of the corner of my eye I saw a car coming towards my driver side kinda quickly. I flinched and looked over to see that it was a cop car speeding into the lot, turning away just as he got to me and parking in a spot to my front. His cop buddy pulled in after him and he ran over to the driver’s side of that car and giggled as his cop buddy got out. They both went into the store and looked so chummy that I thought they might share a bagel and a blowie in the bathroom. One of them would, of course, be wearing the bagel on his wang and the other would have to deep throat said wang to get to the bagel. I’m betting it still was a pretty good bagel. I like bagels.
