Word on the street is that there’s a chance Beth will be returning to RAW tonight. Think you’d better watch it just in case! The Score, tonight, 9 PM (immediately following Racenight, Woodbine’s live horse racing show… which nobody watches!) In related news, I may be appearing on Cops next Saturday. Don’t want to ruin the surprise, but I’ve had a little too much to drink and I’m shirtless!! ...
In the immortal words of Ryan Spoar, the party’s over… Yesterday I cut the grass as it began to rain and then did some work on the computer. That’s about it. Oh, then I made a “soft taco bake” that went horribly wrong. Firstly, it didn’t look remotely like the package’s picture suggested it would. Secondly, when I was taking it out of the oven, it fell. It fell into the worst possible place: directly onto the hinge of the oven door. From there it dropped onto the floor, into the oven drawer and when I closed the door it traveled into the inner oven workings. I suspect that this will be a mess that my grandchildren’s children will still be trying to clean up. ...
Woke up and felt like doing nothing (again). I think a piece of that Peking pork found its way into my spine. Hopefully it’ll find its way out because I don’t think that’s right. Headed into the backyard for hopefully the second last day of work. It’s looking way better and I may actually want to start spending some time out there. That’s right, time. Shirtless time. Shirtless time with a Coke and a laptop. “Hey, the fat naked neighbour’s sunbathing again. Let’s move.” That kinda time. ...
Lots of running around yesterday. Framing place for some frames. Garden place for a trellis, a plant and a couple patio stones. Farm to check on Kat’s horse. Came home for a nap, then off to the Mandarin for some over eating. Can’t recall them having the “Peking Pork” before, but last night it and I began a love affair that should simmer for years to come. Also had a large number of shrimp, perogies and General Tao’s, of course. ...
Awoke early. Did nothing ’till 2. Went to see Kyle. He’s doing fine. On the way home stopped for a Big Bacon Classic to celebrate another Thursday alive. Made me wish I was dead. Kat got home and we went down to the water to take some pictures of Lesley with her dog Tobey. That’s him with his beak fully submerged as he tries to retrieve a rock from the Niagara River (he stayed under for like 10 seconds!). Pretty inspiring. I haven’t put that much effort into anything I’ve ever done in my life. ...
Did so little today it hurts. Let’s blame it on the rain. Was up at 8 and the first sign of activity showed up around 2:30. Went to Tim Horton’s and Giant Tiger. Bought some blueberries. For future reference, if you eat 1 pint of blueberries, your gas will smell like blueberries. It’s true. Made dinner. Took out the laundry. Punched my Kat cat. Now heading to bed. Hopefully some better weather to come! ...
So after 6 years of wondering what the fuck to do with the patio, we’re just about done. I’d really been baffled as to the best way to deal with fitting some patio stones around the deck posts. In the end, I figured I’d give cutting the patio stones a try. Who would’ve known it’d be a 2-minute process! God I love the fact that I let the littlest shit occupy so much fucking space in my head. I think I may be technically retarded. ...
So I woke up at about 8:30 to start the day. Was downstairs by 10:30, eating a burrito and 2 sausages by 1 and heading off to Home Hardware by 2:30. Got some parts from HH. Came home and finished off the backyard hose setup. Have now got the necessary gear to attempt to cut some patio stones. Planning on trying this tomorrow and being out of the hospital by early next week. I really do expect a grade A injury on this one. ...
Getting behind here. Woke up yesterday and went to see the latest Die Hard movie. Pretty entertaining. Whole movie was almost ruined by a scene at the end where Bruce Willis rides the wing of a fighter jet. Eerily reminiscent of a scene in True Lies where a foreigner hangs out on a jet and takes a hilarious nut shot from the tail wing. I’m not much of an expert on this kinda thing, but is that even possible? Wouldn’t it be pretty inhospitable up there? Or maybe I’m way off and it’s quite pleasant. The kinda place where you’d take the kids for a picnic. With sandwiches and chips and watermelon and horseshoes. Keep ’er steady Schwarzenegger, you just made me spill my Freshie! ...
So something’s definitely up with my site host. You’ve probably seen errors and slow performance the past little while. I’m trying to get to the bottom of it, but haven’t yet. Bear with me. Woke up around 10 and ate some oatmeal. It was the flavoured kind that is actually pretty unhealthy if you read the back of it. So I had two. Why? Cuz fuck you, that’s why. Went outside later in the afternoon and cut the grass. Expanded the acreage of Kat’s garden. Hung up a hose. That’s about it. ...
